I run this every day when I first come home and it really freshens the air in the room - I would not have bought it at the regular price though...

I think the player is great. I have 4 of them. 2 are very quiet, the other 2 have a humming noise. The frebeze dics are no longer being made, but can be bought brand new on [...]. [...] have them, and people say they are too high, but they have them on sale alot. Right now they have them buy 2 get 1 free.I love their discs. They smell so good. I love the player and the [...].

I thought the disc player (bought at a terrific sale price) to be a novel way of scenting (and it is). I ordered replacement discs (also on good sale) through Yankee Candle at the same time; everything arrived the same day and I was thrilled. But my machine was one that made extremely loud noise that other reviewers complained about. A constant and throbbing "Whirrrrr -- Whirrrr -- Whirrr". Changed discs, same thing. Really loud. Annoyingly loud. I'd never get used to it. I played with the machine. Put it on the carpeted floor (still loud); tried to cover it with a shoe box with a cut air hole (still loud); on top of a box with the shoe box cover on it (still loud); turned it on it's side (still loud). I was being driven insane. Since I had opened several discs already to test, I figured I'd either send the player back and take a loss on the price of the discs or just tough it out. That is, use the discs and stay out of the room to avoid the noise, then chuck the machine in the trash where it belongs. But a strange thing happened. After several days of letting it run and multiple disc changing, the machine quieted down to a semi-acceptable level of constant humming while on a carpeted floor. Ask yourself: Is that where you want to put the unit? I think my initial mistake was trying to push down a bit on the scent disc to load it. All you do is place it on top and close the lid (however, I did this on my 2nd try). If one wants to easily see what scent is playing, I doubt they'd be able to resolve the noise issues with a redesign. If this many reviewers have complained about the noise, then something is not quite right. Did we all push on the discs too hard? Is there a significant number of noisy rejects in every lot? The machine does what it is intended to do -- scents a very large area in a novel and easy way. If a newer, quieter model comes out, I might consider buying again. However, when my discs are used and/or the unit breaks, the trash can is it's destiny. Far easier and cheaper to use an electric tart warmer or scented sprays.

I used this to stage my house for open house days when I was selling it and in small areas it does put a pleasant smell in the air (I used vanilla). It's too much trouble to use it all the time though - I forget to turn it on. I haven't used it since my house sold.

My daughter uses this in her high school classroom - the kids love it ! By the end of the day, the freshening effect is much appreciated. Now Yankee Candles carries refills of their popular scents now. I love their scents, but am wary about burning candles. This is a win-win situation now.

This product is being used in my living room and with a new baby it is madatory (due to smelly diapers). We turn this on and it freshens the room right up. The only bummer is I suppose febreeze isn't making the discs anymore so you have to go to a certain candle company for refill disc. I haven't tried them yet but did order some. Hope they work. I

Great Idea but... Discs don't last long enough for the pricing. Yankee scents are great! I just wish these discs would stay strong for a longer period. The info on packaging for the discs says 50 some uses, Hmmmmmmm I don't know about that! But the unit is quiet & does what IT is supposed to do.

the product is great and i dont agree with some that say it is noisey i dont really hear it when it changes to a new scent unless i sit right there and hear it if someone knows where to find refill discs please tell me
