See what else is out there. Don't just arrive at your destination and stay at the hotel or resort. Each city or town has it's own unique offerings and a story to tell. And each is unique in its own special way.

Want to save money when booking your next tour? We've put together a few travel tips to do just that. Note, most of these tips are for saving money while booking a tour online. For the most part this is a cheaper way to travel then going through a local tour company. Hopefully some of these tips will save you some money on your next vacation!
Coupon Tips for Tours
  1. As previously mentioned, check with the online tour companies or sites. These can typically offer a larger selection of tours at a discounted price. On top of that many of the tour booking sites also offer their own promotions from time to time where you can save even more money on your tour packages.
  2. Speaking of tour packages, look for hotel deals that include tours as part of a vacation package. You can start by checking with the hotel. Other places to check is with the online travel discounters as well as the local Convention & Visitors Bureau.
  3. Stop by or look up online the local coupon books. Just about all the major tours in each city or town advertise coupons in these coupon books. Most of the time you can save a couple dollars per person. It's not a lot but every little bit helps.
  4. If you are staying in a city for a few days and plan on seeing a lot of the city then consider purchasing a discount card if available. Two of the biggest ones are the Go City Card and the CityPass card. For these you pay one price up front and then you get free admission to the top attractions in the city. Typically you will end up saving at least 50% on your total admission costs to all of the top attractions.
  5. There's also coupon books, such as the Entertainment Book, that can be purchased. For a small price you can typically save over $10,000 in tours, attractions, dining, accommodations, shopping, and more in that city.
  6. Check out the website and Facebook page of each tour company or attraction. You will be surprised at how many of the tour operators will offer coupons right their own their own site or Facebook page. Just print our the coupon and bring it in for your savings.
  7. If you are a AAA member, this is a great way to save right off the top. So many of the tour and travel companies offer AAA discounts. You can usually save 10% or more on your tours when you show your AAA membership ID.
