Shopping for new luggage can be an arduous task. There are literally hundreds of styles to choose from. Then, once you find that perfect piece of luggage, it can be even harder to determine who has the best deal and where you should purchase the luggage from.

  1. The first thing you should do is decide on the type of luggage you need. (i.e. wheeled luggage, carry-on luggage, briefcases, etc) Once you have determined that it's easier to narrow your choices down to select brands and styles. Knowing the brand and style name makes it much easier to compare when searching for the best deal.
  2. Check the online luggage retailers. Most make it real easy to search for make and model of luggage. In addition, most of the online luggage retailers offer their own coupons which you can use towards your purchase of your new luggage.
  3. Read the shipping policies carefully. Most online luggage retailers do offer free shipping but the policies can vary. Some may have order minimums required in order to get the free shipping while others will offer free shipping on any size order. Be careful too because some offer coupons, but do not allow you to combine the coupons with any free shipping offer. In these cases the free shipping is usually the better value.
  4. Check out the sale and clearance sections. These luggage items are usually marked down as much as 70%. What's great is that some of the online luggage stores do not put any restrictions on their coupons for sale and clearance items. This means that you can stack the coupons on top of the existing mark downs for even more savings.
  5. Read the coupon policies for each luggage retailer. For some, coupons are restricted for certain brands. What's interesting is that other luggage retailers offer the same luggage brands, yet do not place any restrictions on coupon usage for that particular brand. So if you can't get a discount for your purchase at one store, check out a different one to see if you can use a coupon there on the same luggage.
  6. If you are purchasing more than one piece of luggage, think about going ahead and purchasing a luggage set. You'll get a discount as a whole versus purchasing each individual piece of luggage. On top of that you can still stack any available coupons on the luggage set discount for even more savings!
