Coupon Tips for Restaurant Dining
  1. Check your local gas stations, grocery stores, and drugstores. This is the most common place to find coupon books. Most publications are printed annually or seasonally. Pick one up and see if there are any local restaurants of interest in there.
  2. Do you have the Entertainment Book in your area? You will find these books in all major cities throughout the United States. You can check online and search by either city or zip code. For these books you pay a small price, which is usually $10 or so. What you get is literally thousands of dollars worth of coupons and discounts for area attractions, dining, shopping, and lodging. These are usually good for an entire year. Plus, coupons are usually available for the purchase of the Entertainment Book so you can get even more savings!
  3. Check out Restaurant.com. With this site you pay a discounted price for a gift certificate to a participating restaurant. As an example you could pay $10 for a $25 gift certificate. You can then use this gift certificate at any time. This is a great way to try new restaurants for cheap. Plus, you can also find promo codes for Restaurant.com, which can save you as much as 90% on the purchase of a restaurant gift certificate.
  4. Look up your local convention and visitors bureau. A lot of local restaurants and businesses will advertise their coupons through the bureau. This is especially true if you live in an area that receives a lot of tourists.
  5. If you are a AAA member, be sure to check your discount offers. You might be surprised to find some of the discounts offered by local establishments for AAA members.
  6. Finally, the most obvious, yet most overlooked way to save money at a restaurant is to check the restaurant's website or Facebook page. Many will offer coupons for just signing up for their newsletter or for Liking them on Facebook.
