If you're planning a spring break trip, here are some tips to help you keep extra dough in your pockets this year!

Always check the hotel websites to compare prices. Almost all of them offer price match guarantees, plus many offer exclusive discounts such as free nights, 50% off additional nights, or hotel/resort credits.
Look for package deals that include airfare if you are planning of flying. You'll find that you can save $150 or more just by combining.
Fly out and back in on the weekend. Flights are usually cheaper.
Look for credit card booking offers. Many hotels offer exclusive discounts for American Express or Mastercard holders.
If you have a AAA membership be sure to always mention it before making any purchase or if you are booking your vacation online be sure to look and see if they offer discounts for AAA members. Many hotels offer an additional 10% off.
Always check the surrounding regional airports for rates. Sometimes it's cheaper to fly out of another airport.
Book early. Many hotels offer early booking discounts if you book online 7, 10, 14, 21, or 30 days early.
If you are planning to vacation at a resort, check the prices of an all-inclusive package (if they offer one). It almost always works out cheaper.
Look for last minute deals if you are traveling in small group. This works great if you are flexible on your travel plans.
Take a cruise! This is the cheapest way to get down to the Caribbean. If you choose an inside room, you can get rates for just over $300 for 5 nights. (tip: look for on-board cruise credits when booking)
