This 2007 documentary is a close-up exploration of World War II as it was experienced in the lives of Americans from four towns. The documentary is 15-and-a-half hours long and consists of the episodes A Necessary War, When Things Get Tough, A Deadly Calling, Pride of Our Nation, Fubar, The Ghost Front, and A World Without War. Also included with this DVD set is a short on the making of the documentary, a commentary track, several deleted scenes and interview outtakes. The list price for this DVD set is $130, but Shop PBS is offering it for only $100, a 24% discount.
