The birdhouse is solid unfinished pine, with a 1 ½ inch entrance hole perfect for swallows, chickadees, titmice, bluebirds and wrens. A side opening allows you to clean it out once the guests leave, and a mounting hook is included. The Nigh Owl Nature Cam is a tiny video camera small enough to fit inside the birdhouse and capable of delivering a black and white image, as well as sound (!), using available daylight or at nighttime using infrared imaging. The image is sent via a 100 foot cable, which also gives the camera its power, and can be routed into a computer, TV or VCR. The camera can be installed in any sheltered location, so it isn’t just limited to the included birdhouse.
