This is a dream come true. You are finally alone with your sweetheart after spending many hours with her friends during this vacation at the Cozumel Island. You look at her and know that she is more beautiful than anything you’ve seen. And you are spending these days together at a place known as the Cozumel Palace, which is reputed as the “dream resort in a dream island.” You could feel your heart beating excitedly. You are holding her hand.
Well, actually, you are gripping her hand. It’s also a bit cold. You could barely see her eyes. And you could not really speak words of love. That’s because you are under the sea snorkeling. She loves the panorama of the underwater. And you were actually surprised by the colors around you. You are seeing the Palancar reef, the second largest one in the world. Snorkeling and be this close to aquatic life is infinitely more exhilarating than watching this on TV. But for this vacation packaged deal at the Cozumel Palace, your goal is not to learn underwater biology. Your goal is to prove to your love that you can be part of her world.
Finally, she signaled you to go up. Snorkeling is over. A part of you is relieved and yet, there is also another part that is slightly sad. You are leaving, temporarily, these natural underwater treasures. And then, another part of you is thrilled at the thought of being able to talk to her. She has the sweetest smile and the most infectious laughter.
Several minutes later, after changing into more comfortable clothes, you were enjoying fine Italian dining at the poolside in a restaurant named Turquesa. Aside from the Turquesa, there are other specialty restaurants in the area that served mouth-watering dishes. There is the MoMoNoHaNa that offered tempting oriental cuisine. And there is the Bugambilias that specialized tasty Mexican fare. After dinner, you plan to tell her of your love. You longed to tell her that you want to build dreams with her. But her friends came again.
Would we be interested in trying out the Fitness Center? Would we want to join the non-motorized water sports at the Playa Mia Grand Beach Park? Would we want to play pool basketball? To you, the answer is an obvious resounding “no.”
But quickly, she said “yes,” she is interested in the Fitness Center. But you whispered to her ear, would you be interested in trying out the double Jacuzzi in my room? The guest room is lavishly equipped with all the modern bath amenities, as well as plush beds and other five-star hotel features.
Hesitating now, she again said “yes,” she thinks that joining water sports would be fun. You whispered again, would you want to join me in watching the Caribbean Sea from my balcony? It will be fun, too. The view would be breathtaking. But then, she again said “yes, playing pool basketball would be great.”
You heard it in her voice, a pause that made you hold your breath. "But I’d rather stay here for awhile." Her friends exchanged knowing looks, shrugged and then left. She turned to you and said, "Tell me more about your balcony. I heard that you have a lovely hammock."
