According to the Pulitzer-Prize winner and American writer Russell Wayne Baker, “the worst thing about being a tourist is having other tourists recognize you as a tourist.” At that point, many things beyond your control can happen. Therefore, there are only two options for the regular tourist. One is to take a vacation in a place that is not frequented by tourists. or the other is to be in a place where everyone is a tourist.
Both options can be achieved this summer when one takes a vacation at the newest Riu Hotel and Resort in Mexico: the Riu Emerald Bay. It will be opened in the summer of 2009, and there will be many advantages in being one of the first guests who will acquire an all-inclusive vacation package deal.
Aside from being brand new, the Riu Emerald Bay is located on Playa Las Brujas Beach, a favorable spot that gives a spectacular overlooking view of the great Pacific Ocean. Thus, the guest can enjoy the golden beach as well as the expanse of the ocean’s horizon while using the resort’s complimentary sun loungers. And after getting that gorgeous tan, the guest can take delightful leisure in exploring the yards upon yards of lush gardens. With the scent of tropical blooms in the air, you wouldn’t mind being alone or being with other tourists.
If you wanted something more adventurous, you can join in one of the exciting sports activities, such as table tennis, beach volleyball, and tennis. You can also take on various water sports, such as wind surfing and kayaking. If you just wanted a physical work out without the sense of competition, you can stay at the gym or you can snorkel to your heart’s delight. From this resort, you can also access other facilities, such as the billiards, the golf course, and the horse riding stables. And after you have completed an active day, you can spend restful hours in the swimming pool, which has an adjoining Jacuzzi.
Then, as the sun sets gracefully, you can go back to your guestroom and change into your evening clothes so that you can proceed to your dinner reservations at one of the fine dining restaurants. The 20-story main building of this resort provides 716 guestrooms that are furnished with state-of-the-art amenities. Each of the guestrooms has a balcony or terrace that will constantly remind you that you are in a tropical beach paradise. There are suites that feature bathrooms with shower cabin, bidet, and hydro-massage bathtub. These suites also have an integrated lounge area with sofa, allowing for great luxury throughout.
Aside from being a resort that offers relaxation and enjoyment, the Riu Emerald Bay also has facilities that will cater to business needs or important events. There are four modern conference halls in which the largest can accommodate 108 people that are seated. If the guests needed more space, these conference halls have sliding panels that can be opened and create one larger hall.
With all the facilities and services in Riu Emerald Bay, it does not really matter if everyone recognizes you as a tourist.
